Now that I Believe

Last week, I recommended “The Story of Jesus.” This week I would like to recommend “Now that I Believe.” It is a series of talks by Dr. Bill Pounce for new believers. It is an excellent way to get pointed in the right direction. It is a 12 week course which includes an extensive workbook. The courses include such topics as conversion experience, learning to listen to God, learning to speak with God, how to respond to God, learning about the Holy Spirit among other topics. Each topic is about 30-40 minutes long which you can listen to at your convenience on your computer.

Many Christians come to Christ but are not discipled properly and may be left wondering what to do next as was my case when I first came to Christ. From my experience as a new believer those many years ago, bible reading was difficult as I struggled to understand what I was reading. I was not offered a “new believer’s class” so I struggled for a several years.

Listening to Dr. Pounce speak and teach theology for a new Christians will help a new Christian start their Christian walk on the right track with the right theology. I know that I wished that this was available to me when I first believed. It would have saved me a lot of wrong turns and bad theology.

I hope that all new Christians will take the time to listen to these talks. I also hope that all Christians will take the time to listen to this wonderful resource. It is a great resource for Christians who are more mature to recommend to newer Christians.
