Our Universe Staggering in Size and Beauty

- Image via Wikipedia
I am posting a video that is not from a Christian source. It’s a video about the size of our universe. Scientists pointed Hubble towards a seemingly empty space for a couple of weeks, an area of space that was risky as the Hubble is in high demand. There were no stars or anything that suggested that there was anything to see. As the images started to return, what man discovered was nothing short of mind boggling. I cannot begin to adequately describe what you will see in this video. Our universe is indescribable in its beauty and it’s size. We occupy a very tiny little piece of an area in the whole of the universe which is filled with countless galaxies, each with their own planets, suns, stars. As we prepare for Christmas and the celebration of the birth of Jesus, I wanted share this video. Often times during this season, Jesus is referred to as “baby Jesus.” The video you are about to watch will show the majesty and power of Jesus. He is King of kings and Lord of lords. That He even takes notice of us, let alone came to our sinful neck of the woods to live amongst us and die a mindboggling horrible death on the cross to redeem us, is beyond comprehension.
Each tiny dot of light that you will see in the below video is an entire galaxy, not a mere star. Each of those galaxies contain countless stars and planets. Over a hundred billion galaxies were discovered. As pointed out in the video, we cannot comprehend the enormity of what was discovered.
He created what you will see in this video six days. A few thousand years later, He comes to our sinful part of the universe and is born in a manger (a barn), and then lays His life down so that we may live. This blogger, sitting behind my computer cannot even begin to wrap my brain around any of this for who am I to receive such from Him. Who are we that He would even take notice? There is no answer except that it pleased Him and it glorifies Him to save one such as you and I.

For some reason that video that I posted really got to me. I’ve watched it dozens of times since I’ve posted it.
Liz, thanks for your link. I watched some of it and it’s great — but unfortunately, I ran out of time and was unable to finish it. I will get back to it later as I liked what I heard so far. Well, it’s on here so I can get back to it at my leisure.
